habits that might be annoying
« on: April 10, 2014, 05:33:59 am »

when you wash your face in the bathroom, there could be a chance that water splashes all over the place.
******************can you add anything to the list?

Hmm.... well, since we're on the topic of bathrooms, it can be kind of annoying when someone shaves their face and then leaves little bits of hair all over the mirror and counter. :-X :-\ Or leaves only a square or two on the toilet paper roll just because they didn't want to take a minute to change it, haha.

I've been blessed in that my husband is a very clean and organized guy.  My kids however are absolute slobs and I don't understand why after all - I don't live in a pigsty and they are completely okay with it.  Ages 15,14 and 7.  When they come home from school they each are given a chore...have a snack and do homework before they can do anything fun.  There can be dishes, garbage over flowing, obvious sweeping or vacuuming and honest to goodness they say - Is there anything for me to do today?  I'm all up for delegating but by now I think the older two should just do what the household needs as it's screaming this needs to be done.

That's the worst. People don't understand how hard and frustrating it can be to be a stay at home mom! They're under-appreciated. I myself am not one, but live with my dad and he's the black sheep of his family in regards to tidiness and cleanliness. His dad was so neat that he actually would fold his candy wrappers before tossing them in the trash! His mom is very orderly, too, so I don't know what went wrong with my dad. LOL Bless him.

I get annoyed at my husband because he will call me to pick the hairs on his face, but complains when he shaves and cuts himself.  He has a crater under his right eye, and it fills up with oils and hairs.  I will pick that first because I may find a hair or two, if I am lucky.   Then he wants me to scrape his face so he don't bleed so much when he shaves.  Go figure. ??? ??? ??? :male: :female: :rainbow:

My husband has a habit of making a noise in his throat that sounds like he is about to say something.  I would wait and maybe he would say nothing, would say something in a minute or two, or would not answer if I asked him "What?"  This not only happened with me but with other people.  (He is hard of hearing but will not wear his $2,000 hearing aid.)  He has been doing this for years.  I have finally learned to ignore it.

The other day when my husband was at work, I sat down at his computer to read a few emails. My eyes were drawn to a neat little pile of finger nails to the left of the keyboard. I refused to clean up someone elses clipped nails so I left them there. However my punishment was worse. The whole time I sat there I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing because of the darn fingernails!

I agree with you.  Another rude and annoying habit is when someone interrupts while another person is talking.  It is also annoying when people don't say please and thank you.

Chewing gum has to be the most disgusting habit there is, I would rather be in a smoked filled bar for 8 hours than watch someone jacking their jaws around like a cow for 10 seconds. Secondly gum chewers for some reason just can't dispose of their filth laden gum without causing a problem.

Boy can I add to this list!  I'll start with my wife: Never completes a Microwave cycle/clears the cycle so that we can never see what time it is on the microwave unless we take an extra step;  she leaves the car in the driveway so that nobody can pull into or out of the driveway; she always leaves doors open-car doors, garage door, bathroom vanity drawers, cupboard doors, the front door. She goes into a cleaning frenzy at ten or eleven at night-making lots of noise which keeps the kids awake. She piles close to twenty five squares of toilet paper into the toilet without flushing.

The one thing I am over-picky about in my house in anything in disc form.  DVD, video game, PC disc, music CD...do not leave them laying - put them back in the case.  I am obsessive compulsive about discs.  Excessively, and will get on others about discs that belong to me.  Do not put fingers on the back side, handle around the edges.  Never think you are doing me a favor by cleaning a disc for me either, I am even picky about how that is done!  Everybody around me keeps telling me I need quit it and go to digital formats because I am so nit picky about this one issue.  All discs are in their cases and on my shelves in alphabetic order so I can just reach and grab what I am looking for.  Call me nuts-o, I am used to it!
