Do you live near...

Do you live near a major airport, or a major public transportation terminal? If you do, how do you cope with the noise?

Nope and I don't intend to. It would drive me up a wall.

I have to deal with this environmental disaster every single day. (Airplane) space debris every where I go.

I used to live a couple blocks from a rail yard.  I didn't mind because it reminded me of my brother who loves trains.  You tune them out after a while.

I live right by the train tracks and not too far away from a military base. I live close enough to where I can hear them raise and lower the flag. It's actually not too bad though. I think you just get used to the noise and you're able to tune it out.

I live 30 minutes from an airport so luckily it's too far to hear the noise.

I live about a block away from  a super busy fire station.  The paramedics and fire trucks are going in and out continuously, but like some of the others say you just tune it out most of the time.

If you count 30 miles as close, but no it doesn't bother me. I usually only hear the wind blowing through the trees.

As a child, I lived a foot from the railroad tracks.  It didn't bother me then.  When I lived in Chicago, I lived near the Metro train tracks, and that didn't bother me.  I don't live near any airport, but I do see a plane passing by on occasion.   :rainbow:

I live really close to the train tracks.  I barely notice it anymore, its not as bad as by an airport but I don't mind it, its a good neighborhood

I close the windows or if I'm in deep sleep I don't hear the noise.

I'm not close to any of those places and not sure how I would cope, I guess after a while you would get use to it, my friend lives close to the airport and we were having a cook out in her back yard and the noise was a lot, every five minutes a plane was landing, I asked her how she do it she said they don't bother her anymore, but when were inside I couldn't even hear them....
