Scam Or No Scam?
« on: May 02, 2014, 05:07:06 pm »
So i  woke up this morning to find a voicemail on my phone
It was someone named Danielle
as i listen to the voicemail they are telling me i am the next of kin to someone and needs the following information
Location, phone number, address, birthdate and they end with etc..
They never mention the person who i am supposidly next of kin to..
and they never represented themselves as anything exept danielle..
I was going to call them back.. but as i replayed the message they really didn't give me any information exept Danielle..
What do you think FusionCash Friends?
Scam? Or No Scam?
You Decide

It's a Scam! I received a few emails very similar to your voice mail message. First of all, if I were to inherit some money, there are a lot of people in my family who are more eligible than I. First of all both of my parents are living. How could they skip them, mmmm.

Scam. I always get emails in my spam box about an inheritance and they want me to email them my personal info. Please don't respond to these jerks.

Really?  If you have any doubt in your mind then that scares me.  But then again these scammers wouldn't do this if there weren't people out there that fall for it.

Definitely scam. A legitimate source would not ask for info over the phone - you would probably be asked to go to a lawyer's office.

I wouldn't trust it. If it is legit you would get some kind of legal notice. I wouldn't respond at all. There is just so much craziness out there today.

I got a call one time saying I was named in a civil suit and I needed to call a phone number.  I googled it and saw that people who called in were charged $20 per minute on their phone bill.

I got a letter in the mail last week with a VERY legit check saying I would be paid for mystery shopping but I needed to wire the amount of the check to cover it or something like that. If it weren't for my good sense I would've fell for it, that check and the explanation (up until the point where I needed to send money) appeared very legit!
