meat or veggie tray, potato chips, sodas, something sweet like cookies or brownies. That's what I would normally take to a picnic.

I would take chips, egg or tuna sandwich, fruit salad or pasta salad, sometimes hot dogs, baked beans and a cold lemonade or bottled water. Don't forget to take an umbrella just in case it rains.

peanut butter and jelly sandwiches since peanut butter keeps you full longer.its either that or grilled cheese sandwiches. water and juice to drink. i would bring ice cream/Popsicle sticks but only if i bring a cooler.  if not then pie or cake for dessert

I like to bring fruit salad, but it seems like a lot of people don't like it.  A sort of mexican 7 layer dip is also another good solution, since sometimes you can convince others to partake.

Well when I was a kid and the family (I mean aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins) My grandmother always made you famous baby pea salad.  I will tell you how to make it. Depending on how many people you can make as much as you want but this feeds 6-8 people depending on if they like peas.

2 cans of baby sweet peas, Drain the juice but keep once can of juice and set aside (you wont use it all)
1-2 onions Diced
I block of cheese (what ever kind you like )I like Colby dice it.
4 table spoons heaping of Miracle whip or real mayonnaise

Put the peas in a large bowel, the diced onions, and diced cheese
put aside for a moment  now in a small bowl add the miracle whip and start adding the pea juice until creamy not lumpy than combine the two mixtures and refrigerate until ready to eat .

This has been my son's favorite dish every since he was a toddler and he is now 22.  If you make this let me know how it went.

I haven't been on a picnic in a long time.  What is your dish or drink that you would bring? They are fun to go and to be invited as well lol.

Sandwiches, crackers, salad, veggies (carrots, celery, etc.), juice/water
