have you ever been called a snob

a lady down the street called me a snob this morning because i didn't answer her but i really did not hear her but she didn't believe me which i really don't care because i don't no her and that's why i says she shouldn't say things like that in less she new me

I don't recall anyone ever calling me a snob to my face but I guess there are people who think I am a snob.

One day a man asked me for change and i was in a bad mood so just  ignored him.He called me a snob kind of funny i thought. I usually give people outside a store a dollar if they ask but not that day.

No I am very happy to say that I have never been called a snob by anyone I think that is mostly because I am a people pleaser which isnt always the greatest!

I've been called stuck-up lots of times before ...and in retrospects it was true!

I have not been called a snob. For that woman to say it she must be one herself. So don't pay not mind to her and try to talk to her about what she said

Yep, but not by anyone that really knows me or anyone who's opinion I cared about in any regard. People can have a difficult time determining what is confidence and what is conceit.

No I don't know that I have ever been called a snob.  The lady that called you a snob was clearly being ignorant.  Why would she just assume you heard her and chose not to answer?  So I definitely wouldn't let anything she said bother me. Just from your posts I would not think you are the type to be a snob.

I have. When you're a shy person a lot of people think you're being a "snob" or "stuck up".

Not in person, but online... It's funny how mad people get in online videogames... In starcraft 2 there are a lot of people who blame other people then their own mistake and gameplay... GG!

In my opinion, a snob is a person who thinks he or she is better than anyone else.  You seem to be a very nice person to me, but people will label you as being snobbish when you don't respond to them.  As you said, you don't really care about what she thinks.  I stay to myself a lot, and people may call me snobbish, but I pay them no mind because, unless they live in my house or in my shoes, they don't really know me.

I have been called a snob many times in my younger days and it was that I had a lot of money or thought I was better then anyone. It was because I was pretty shy and standoffish until I got to know someone. Working in a large retail store in manager soon took the shyness out of me/

I do not recall ever being called a snob. And based on the posts that I read about this subject, I guess I am a little surprised because I am quite soft-spoken and very shy. The people that have crossed paths with me during my life must have simply realized this, which could be why I was not viewed as a snob. As far as the neighbor using such name calling, let it go, people like that are not worth your time or aggravation.

I haven't been called a snob to my knowledge..Sometimes it's better not to know ^_^.. I have called someone a snob before.. but that's how they were acting.. and that's how i felt about the situation.. Sometimes when life hands you a lemon you just have to make that lemonade XD
