The Fault in our Stars
« on: June 07, 2014, 09:02:13 am »
Has anyone seen the movie or read the book? I don't really like romance movies, especially teen romance but it seems like a good movie. Is the girl sick or does she have cancer or something? So many of my friends went to see it. I'm going to rebel and not see it just because everyone is trying to go see it. I'll just wait til it comes out on dvd or tv.

I haven't seen the Fault in our Stars, but I am considering it. I saw a trailer on tv just yesterday. I think it's about a girl who has cancer and whilst on her cancer therapy classes, she meets and falls in love with a really nice guy. It's about their relationship and how they deal with things. I heard some people commenting that they think it will be really sad in places and then quite funny in others. I used to know a girl who had breast cancer at just 28, she found out just two months after giving birth to her first son. She managed to see his first birthday but died shortly afterwards. So whilst I'd really like to show my support, I don't know if I'm ready yet.

My teenage niece went to the premiere of this movie & absolutely loved it.  She liked the book better though, but still loved the movie.   The boy & girl both have cancer, but the boy is in remission when they meet.   I won't tell you any spoilers.

I've read the book and just saw the movie earlier today. It's good, but it's sad. I'd still strongly recommend it.

I heard both the book and the movie were great.  A must read or at least a must see.  I have not gone yet but will before it leaves theaters.

I was supposed to go see it and it was either that or x-men but I knew it would be sad since it reminds me of a walk to remember so i didn't go see it anymore. Decided to see Hugh Jackman once more :)

The advertisements for this movie looked good. A friend of mine said the book is doing well and has good reviews so I thought I would get the DVD when it came out.

I watched the trailer and it looks like a good movie, I am more of a comedy or crime fan.
