Plans for the July 4th
« on: June 12, 2014, 07:03:23 pm »
Any plans for July 4th? My friend called me up today and he is having a picnic. I thought the invite was a little early but whatever. :cat:

I have to watch out for fire works going off- drought here - very dry.  We will go to my cities activity and have a good time.

Unfortunately, I have to work.
I work evenings and this year, July 4th falls on one of my work days. We're not allowed to ask for it off...
Oh well... I was off last year and I went to see my family-in-law, launch fireworks, and eat good BBQ.

I plan to buy my ribs early.  I don't have to really buy barbecue sauce, as I bought three bottles last month.  Otherwise, I will be in the house.  Between my husband or me, I will either be cooking them in the oven or he will go outside and put them on the grill.   :rainbow: :rose:

Hadn't thought about it yet, but can we say cookout?!  I'll be looking for a sale on ribs and sweet corn.  Yum.  :P ;D

Nothing big my daughter's birthday is right after that so we'll just get some fireworks and pop them at the house maybe cook out.

Probably go to downtown St. Louis and watch the fireworks...or just watch the fireworks here in my town, haven't decided yet.

Hopefully a fireworks show.I don't know if I will have to work or not. Last year saw a great fireworks show. Looking forward to seeing another this year. It will be in another state though.

My youngest turns 12 on the first and this is the first time we will be bringing one of her friends with us to my parents 2 1/2 hours away. We will be doing a brunch with all of the family and a few close friends on the 4th followed by cake and ice cream to celebrate her birthday.
