crowdflower paid tasks question?
« on: June 16, 2014, 11:34:49 am »
Is anyone else having problem with the accuracy on crowdflower tasks? There a few I am expelled from for too low of accuracy, and I was clearly correct on the ones they said were wrong. I have pulled up tickets with them. I always get a generic response saying they are very busy, and they go through the detailed tickets first. Its kinda aggravating, because The tasks I like doing I have been locked out of in the last month for screw ups on there part. Just wondering if this was happening to anyone else?

That is just one of the problems with Crowd Flower Tasks, but it is still worth the effort, just put your ticket in, because sometimes they will compensate you for their errors.

When you get generic responses it usually means they are receiving lots of response about the same issue. Crowd Flower is still a really good way to earn extra cash though so hang in there. :)

Yea I agree it is a good way to earn more money, and I still use it. I was just aggravated about the accuracy issues. It locked me from the tasks I did constantly......Hopefully they fix the issues...

yes I have been told I was wrong when I was absolutely right. and on the grading roofs. they often just say your wrong and lower your percent when it is clear you have said what can be seen. there are some that do not have an answer. what they have asked you to find without 10 pages of the search is just not there. and if your only getting 50c why should it be made impossible or for anyone to have to go through 10 pages to find a link. but then it works sometimes. lately the thing is it wont sign me in. even with the correct password or clicking to sign me in through facebook. it wont even send me a new password link even when it wont sign me in so it like just closes me off from using it at times. but when it works it works.

I don't like to do the crowdflower.  It seems like I can't ever do it right.

Yes I'm having problem with the accuracy on all tasks.

I have had that problem with some tasks, and there are tasks that I do well on.  I think it is utterly ridiculous that you try to answer tasks based on what they ask you, only to find out that you are denied money because of accuracy. ???

I have experienced similar issues with crowdflower tasks and their interpretation of "accuracy". There have been some answers that I know were correct (or what I saw) and it was considered incorrect. Since there update though, I have noticed with some tasks that an answer that is not deemed "correct" is tagged within the task so that you can change it rather than after the task is done and there is no going back to fix it. All in all, I do enjoy the challenge of the tasks; and of course, the cents earned.  :)

I think that CF does a good job of tackling the accuracy issues. You just have to be clear but detailed when you submit a ticket to them. They've reset my accuracy when I've been flagged unjustly.

I just close the window when this happens and open a new one, then clear my cookies and cache, logon again and do another one. No big deal.

Myself, I seldom attempt tasks. I find most of them too complicated and confusing. However, it seems that some members do very well on tasks. Those members who do well post frequently about very easy and well paying tasks they complete. I never get those tasks that they post about.  ???

I  have to agree with you.  I think if we were to take all of the members who regularly do the tasks and group them with those who unsuccessfully attempt them then run a tab, about two thirds or so are having difficulty.  Every time I think about attempting tasks, I again shy away because I really don't want to get hung up on any snags.

Tasks are one of the few activities here that capture and hold my attention, instead of expectiong me to put my mind in neutral like a zombie until it's completed.

I have that same problem. I gave up on getting a hold of them on their mess ups . That might be what they were hoping for LOL! They used to be very good on getting back with us with a humanly response and crediting or straightening up their mistakes. For a while I've got the same response that they are working on straightening up the problem on the task or the problem on the task has been straightened up but it hasn't. I keep getting those same answers without them straightening up anything so for a while I wasn't doing the task because of how long it was taking to do the tasks then not getting anything out of it. Here lately the task seem to be working a lot better then they used too but still there is mess ups sometimes but I'm bull headed and still try them out LOL!
