Ever?  Yes.  Though as an adult I try my best not to, even the stupid little white lies to strangers.  There's no point really.  I am learning to not care what others think, so then there is no reason to lie.

I'm sorry, but anyone who says that they never lied before, well they are lying lol....even white lies are considered lies...just my opinion!!
Yes I was going to say this. We all have told a lie or two in our growing up. Children seem to lie a lot and I am sure as kids many of us have told lies.

I think we all lied at one point.  If you deny you are lying right now....

Of course I've lied. It makes me human. Because there's no one that can say they never have lied without lying. Even if it's just the usual: "How are you?" and answering with "I'm good." when you're not, it's lying. We've all done that at least once.

I don't necessarily consider it a lie when someone says "how are you" and you say "good" when things really suck.  For the most part when someone asks how are you doing - they don't really want to hear anything other than "good" "how are you".  I know I don't.  It is something to say.  I remember when I was in high school and waiting tables that was a standard when I walked up to a table.  Until one day when a man spent 15 minutes telling me every problem in his life.  Smh.

You woke up this morning and you are breathing and walking.  You can swallow food without a feeding tube.  You can breathe without an oxygen tank.  You can get around without a wheel chair.  You are in fact "GOOD".

As far as saying something not to hurt someone's feelings.  I don't think that is bad.  I also do not think you should ask a question you know the answer to.  Eons ago I worked with a girl who was really over weight.  She knew this.  When you are pushing 300 pounds DO NOT ask someone "am I fat".  That is stupid.  Anyway, we had an employee meeting that morning and after the meeting she and I both worked but it was an hour or so before opening time and we went to Burger King and got some breakfast.  While at BK she actually asked me "do I look fat?"  I said "Well, I won't say you are fat but it would not hurt you to loose some weight".  Remember here - She weighs almost 300 pounds.  Not a joke.  Anyway.  She went back to work and told everyone what I said and cried and everyone got mad at me.  It did not make a difference when I told my side of it.   Now, I would probably just say "I am not answering that".  And shake my head.  It is stupid to ask something like that.    And as for "do you like my hair" again why ask.  If someone likes your new hair style they will tell you.   What difference does it make what somebody else thinks anyway.

Just because someone is physically okay, it doesn't mean that they might not be good when they say they are. That would therefore mean that they're lying. I've said things are good when asked minutes after anxiety attacks. Just because it was something people want to hear, does not make it any less of a lie if it is not a true statement.

Well, if I were to say I never lied, then I would immediately have to retract that statement....all of us have at some point, whether it was to get away with something, not hurt someone's feelings, or just because we didn't know better....as we mature though, we realize how bad it is to do though.

Yeah, I think everybody lies sometimes, I lied to my kid just to make her get out of something that is not good for her. Or sometimes she wants something too expensive when we are at the store. I feel bad but i don`t her to argue with me or make me yell at her because she won`t listen.
