Do you think that if a child of yours has made nothing but bad choices, won't listen comes to you constanly needing money will you give it to him?

I guess it would depend on the situation, and I would not make it a habit giving my child money if they were old enough to take care of themselves.  That being said, we were fortunate to have a daughter who worked at a grocery store in high school and during part of her college.  Other than a couple of short-term teenage problems, she has been a wonderful child and a great adult.  We have a great relationship, and it is an honor to be her mother.

They should EARN it, not just be given money. Children have to be taught work ethics and the value of money. It's the parents place to teach this. This child will have a rough time in life if not taught that lesson.

i am going through this right now with my 17 year old daughter who knows everything--and no i will not help her to continue to make bad choices --she needs to get a job and do something with her life and grow the hell up !
