When I was young, I would have said a horse. I rode from the time I could sit a horse. Yep been thrown a few times but never stopped me. But a couple of car wrecks sure did. Now we live in town and of course no horses allowed, besides it cost too much to fee anymore. Although I am luck that my brother has a hay farm, but there is a lot more then just feeding the, like shoeing them it is $100,00 a pop and of course all their shots and everything. Wow.

I would choose dogs because I have never really been around that many horses and I have never rode one in my life.  I would love to ride one someday

True but where are you suppose to leave a horse when you go shopping? Much less put things. My horses would be for just riding around on where they wouldn't get spooked or hurt.

I love dogs and horses.  But i would choose a dog.  Ive never cared for a horse so i'm sure how too.  I know hay has become very expensive.  And i don't have the land for a horse...but i have two horses that live in the property behind me and i love them and pet them and give them treats.  I think of them as my horses in a way because i am one of their best friends.  Have a great weekend...

I would much rather have a dog.  They are easier to feed and don't take up so much space.  And dogs are a loving and loyal companion.

Most definitely a dog. Horses are expensive to keep.
