I love them both they are beautiful animals and very smart but i would pick a dog because they are more a persons best friend and they really show how loyal they are.

As much as i'd love horse-riding  ( that's basically the only positive aspect of getting a horse to me), I'd have to go with a dog.

There's more stuff you can do with a dog, it's cheaper to care and maintain a dog and I don't exactly have the open space needed for a horse nor the means to drive it around.

I wouldn't want the upkeep on a horse and they do intimidate me somewhat.  My father-in-law had horses and rode until he was 91 and when he was out of town my husband (and sometimes me) would feed and water his horses for him.  I think they are beautiful and I did ride some when I was a younster but sure wouldn't now.  We have a dog we've had for 14 years and he is very special to us.

I would rather have a pig because when I don't have enough food to feed it. I can always put it down in a humane manner and used it to feed the family and the neighbors. Even though it would be difficult because the family will be so attached to eat. I think it is a possible thing to do when the opportunity presents itself!

A dog, I don't know how to tend to a horse and would know where to keep one...they are beautiful animals but I have never really dealt with a horse.....

Horses are expensive to maintain, so a dog!  :dog:

A dog less messier and easy to clean up after.
