I have a hard time going to sleep at a decent hour every day.  I take a prescription sleeping pill but it doesn't work either.  The natural way is to take melatonin.  That way you are not all druggie it natural and maybe that is what your body isn't producing.  I take that as well and if it doesn't help I take all what I said plus over the counter sleeping aide.  I never feel druggie when I wake up either.  I do better when I sleep during the day and stay up at night I don't know why but my whole adult life has been that way.  My grandmother and mother had the same problem so maybe its hereditary I don't know.

Some days I have  the same problems but usually it's because I am awakened with a stuffed up nose due to allergies and once I take an allergy tab and it starts working I can then go back to sleep.  Sad part is it usually takes about an hour!

I have to take a sleeping pill nightly or I would be wide awake. I can not go without sleep!

I have a hard time falling to sleep and I very seldom sleep all night without waking up several times.  I would love to be able to lay down and fall asleep and sleep all night long.

This happens to me about once every other week or so. I just try to lay there and rest the whole night. I don't feel great the next day, but the next night I sleep just great and everything is back to normal. I agree with you it's not a good idea to get involved with sleeping pills. Some people get dependent on them which is no good and others sleep walk or even sleep drive when they take them. These are both too scary to want to get involved.

No, as a general rule I don't have trouble falling asleep. The biggest reason for this is that I have gone to bed at the same time for the last 40 years so now I wake up at the same time, and therefore get sleepy again at the same time. It's such a routine now that no sooner have I popped my head onto the pillow that I give a huge exhale and feel myself getting swept away with the fairies. I say "as a general rule" because every now and then, if I do something different, take a flight somewhere to a different time zone, put the clocks forward etc, it then takes me a few days to get into the new routine.

Yes. I do have trouble falling asleep very often. And it caused me being anemic. My doctor prescribed me an iron ( integra). I am just started taking it I hope it will help.

I almost always have trouble falling asleep, mostly due to sciatica pain. And when I do finally fall asleep, I tend to wake up about every two hours!  Wish I could sleep even for four hours straight!

I had no idea those two things were related (sleep and anemia) I have problems with sleep and recently found that I am anemic but dont know why... hmmm.

I often have trouble sleeping. I get off of work at 10 or 11 PM, so you need to wind down. The next day is rough getting up when you can' t sleep.
