I am not going to judge but personally I have never understood how you can forget your child in a car. My child/children were the first to go in the house. Then I came back and got everything else.

I ended up having to purchase a playpen specifically for putting my baby in, when we came home from shopping, while I took in the groceries.

i watch the news all the time and i keep hearing about parents leaving there kids or pets in the car and saying i simply forgot they were there how is that possible i think they should take these people and lock them in the car and let them feel what there kids or pets feel why being in the hot car with no air

This reminds me of the story that was recently in the news about a guy who left his toddler in a hot car all day long.  He claims that he left for work in the morning with his little boy in his carrier in the back seat.  He took his son out with him for breakfast before he went to work and was supposed to drop him off at daycare but, completely forgot the kid was in the car.  He went to work instead and at the end of the day, he found his son dead in the car.  It was later found out that this guy was "sexting" with numerous females on his cell phone and that this child had an insurance policy on him.  They are now saying that this couple was in debt and that he purposely left his boy in the car to collect the insurance money.

How could anyone do this to their own child?  I'm still sick about it.

It seems to be happening more and more all the time.  I don't think I am buying that excuse any more.

I fail to see how any one can just 'forget' their child is in the car. To me a -person has to be either, drunk on drugs or extremely self absorbed to do that.

I had 2 children, was divorced and worked full time outside the home, and took care of the home and getting the kids to where they always needed to be, I was stressed out everyday, but never did I forget my kids were in the car, the kids would always go in with me no matter where I had to be and for how long I had to be there. I just have a hard time with these people using the excuse of being stressed out, or so tired.  >:(

Its just terrible! At times if I leave the kiddos behind and I run in and go do something I check the car seats to make sure my kids aren't in there, even though I know they aren't its just a habit or I'll check in my mirrors and they aren't back there. I don't know how people can forget the kids are back there, especially when the children are older they don't really sit still and not make noise unless they are sleeping.

Very sad situation. It's a sad world we live in.
I  agree with 100%.   We  live  in  a fast pass world. We  need to slow down and look after each without  overstepping  boundries.

with this kind of hot temperature to leave anyone or animals in the car for a long time is terrible. No one will leave any milk or dairy in the car
