Comcast
« on: July 16, 2014, 09:07:43 am »
Have you all seen the Comcast employee from H*ll that argued for like 20 minutes with the guy about WHY he wanted to cancel his service?  He ended up 10 minutes into the call recording the call and posting on youtube.

Personally, I would not have argued with him and would not have told him over twice to cancel the service before I asked for a supervisor.  When I turned my home phone off with ATT she tried to argue with me and I think I had to ask for a supervisor before she decided she could disconnect it.  I don't want this service any longer.  Turn it off.  End of story.

Yes, I saw it in the news and the person should get fired for talking to customers like that.

I didn't see it, but over the phone talking can become hectic!

Something like that happen to me although it wasn't as bad. I called to cancel Direct TV and my contract was up. The guy asked me why? I told him it was financial reasons. But he kept on and on about movies and programming. I told him I can't afford it. He said "I can get you service for $19.95 a month." I told him "I don't care if you give it to me for $9 a month I don't want it. I got bills to pay and kids to feed!" End of story. I can understand companies need to try too keep you, but you don't have to be a jerk about it.

well i never went thu a service it was my mother who wanted it & it usually ends up owing to much that no one in the house can afford it so it gose off but there has ben never an argument between anyone about it being off (except mother who whines about it missing her shows on cable saying we need it tho she is very ignorant and thinks everything is her way and nothing else)

ISP are a bane to deal with. To bad that some ISP have monopoly over the area so you can't easily change the service. I know some streamers/youtubers who moved to another area because they keep getting throttled

have time warner right now  but they are going to comcast in the near future.  from what i hear they are a pain in the a$$ and just plain terrible.  so it looks like we might have to go to direct tv.  i will not tolerate comcast

I personally didn't see it ... but my thinking is that I am the customer that pays for the service .. If I want to cancel .. I do not have to explain it to you.  I am polite but firm.
