Do you ever fall asleep in a chair sitting up?
« on: July 19, 2014, 02:36:57 am »
Frequently when I am on the computer I will doze off and wake up 2 to 3 hours later and then finish whenever I was doing. If I am watching TV I better record it because if I don't I will fall asleep and miss the ending. But if I lay in bed I will lay there for even an hour before I even feel like dozing off.  Do you ever fall asleep in a chair sitting up?

Normally, no. Then again, I am usually sitting on my couch or bed whenever I am on my laptop. I will say this though: whenever I watch a program that interests me, I try to make sure that I am sitting up for it (whether in bed or on a couch) because if I lie down, I am guaranteed to fall asleep during the program. I hate that.  >:(

My husband will come in in the afternoon and sit at the computer for a while and I'll look over to find him sleeping sitting up at the computer so you're not alone.

I have fallen asleep on the loveseat when watching tv.  I usually end up scrunching down and finally just laying down.

I have never fallen asleep while at the computer.  I think my neck would get extremely sore if i fell asleep sitting up straight.

Well if falling asleep in the car counts then yes. And I woke up with my neck cramping. But if I am sitting at home and my head starts to bob I will usually jerk it back up.

Never fall asleep at the computer, its a different story if I sit in the blue chair, all I have to do sit down and out like a light for about 30 minutes.

When I am on my computer, I do sometimes doze off but I sleep for maybe 5 minutes or less.

I think I have only dozed off once or twice at the computer and as soon as my head drops it wakes me up but I fall asleep sitting on the couch nearly every night.  Sometimes that means my dogs get a late dinner.

No I have never fallen asleep at the computer. However if I sit down in the sofa, there is a possibility that my eyes will start to get heavy, then I convince myself if I lay down, I will have more strength to keep my eyes open! Yeah right! 50 minutes later I wake up to find the commercials on and I missed my program. I get ever so annoyed with myself, not so much because I missed the program but because I have to winch myself out of the chair and walk about 20 feet to my bedroom. And then I am awake again!

Never fell asleep at the computer. One the chair is not the most comfortable. It is hubby's. I won't let him use my chair when he is on the computer. But if he is not going to be home for a stretch I will move ming from my desk and use it. But there are times I am in my chair watching TV or reading, lean my head back and I am gone, But only if I am really tired.
