Everything is bigger in Texas
« on: July 20, 2014, 09:07:19 am »
It's so true. Being born in Indiana then moving to Texas then back to Indiana proves it. I was 13 when I moved to Texas and didn't really have a good idea of how big or small things are but as I got older it was normal to me. I grew in a place where EVERYTHING is bigger. When I moved back to Indiana it was a shock. I walked into a grocery store and felt cramped and slightly claustrophobic. Its amazing how we become so used to things so quickly.

Anyone from Texas agree?

I agree.  Everything is bigger in Texas!  We recently moved here from WA state and man it's crazy.  Even all the bugs are bigger!

I thought this was a myth! Haha. I know someone who's been living in Texas since 2009 and before that lived in several other states, so I should ask for her take on it... Those HEB stores are pretty big, aren't they? :)

:)I thought the places(stores, malls) that I visited in Texas were crowded, and unfriendly.  Slightly dirty.  Now the bars yes bigger.  Friendlier.  Along ways away.  I didn't see women with the high hair, no open spaces(country) Even when driving from one town to the next, never left a city.  So yes Texas has bigger cities.

Well they do say everything is bigger and better in Texas, But they say the same thing in Alaska and yep their skitters are sure bigger.. I dang sure don't like the big stores on the b order of Tex. They are so dirty, and most people don't seem to speak English.  But there are some beautiful places in Texas also, in the norther and eastern part.
