Good Luck to you Aggie!  My wife went through it about six years ago and came through with flying colors. She did lose her hair but her company bought her three different color wigs.  It was kind of like dating the female cast of Gilligan's Island till she put on the blond wig-for me! Nobody really knew she was going through it and didn't miss any work. She dropped the kids off at school one morning wearing the red wig and returned the same day to pick them up wearing the brunette wig and freaked out the crossing guard. She now proudly points to the scar where her port was and claims it is her survival tattoo.

Each round of chemo can sometimes bring on new side effects but many times it all depends upon the type of chemo you are given and your body chemistry.  The nausea medicine will help but may not take away all of the nausea. Keep your Oncologist informed as to how the chemo affects you and if you are having side effects that are intolerable, don't be afraid to discuss this with your doctors. If you lose all of your hair try not to worry it will regrow. There are beautiful wigs that look so natural (these I wear all the time due to hair loss from chemo) I love them. I don't know if your Oncologist has discussed with you the medication Neulasta.  Neulasta (pegfilgrastim) is used to decrease the incidence of infection, by treating neutropenia, a lack of certain white blood cells caused by receiving cancer chemotherapy. It is a colony-stimulating factor. It is a man-made form of a protein that stimulates the growth of white blood cells. Check with your doctor to determine if this is an option for you. Last but not least I will pray for you as you go through this journey.  One of the most important things is keeping a positive attitude even when it seems that things are at there lowest point.  God bless and keep you.   :angel11:

Yes, hair will grow back. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I lost my hair and had a hard time with it at first. But then I found the most beautiful wig. In fact the picture that is on my profile I am waring a wig. That picture was taken almost 5 years ago when I was in my second month of chemo. Stay strong and prayed up and you will be fine.

Try to keep your mind occupied with good thoughts or just keep as busy as you can. Read or watch TV, listen to music or whatever. Just don't let worry hinder you. Be blessed always.
