Driving
« on: August 09, 2014, 03:35:57 am »
Do you like driving or do you like to be able to get up and go whenever and wherever you
want to?

I am finding that I do not like to actually drive, but I like my freedom.

I really don't love driving but it is the ticket to freedom so I do it. I don't mind driving on country roads as much as city driving but I would be very happy if they perfected the cars that drive them selves.

I do not mind driving but I also take the bus as well just to save a few bucks so about 50/50 for me.

I used to love driving. Now that I'm older I don't care for it much. But I do love the fact that I can get up and go where I want.

I like driving in the country. I don't mind driving in the city. But i'm deeply fearful of inattentive drivers. I caused an accident once because I was inattentive, and I learned my lesson well.  Now I have an eagle's eye at every intersection.

Depends... I hate the Atlanta traffic that does affect us here on the south side below the airport but then when my car wasn't working and I had to stay at home I wasn't too pleased.

I really do like driving and always have. However as I am not quite as young as I used to be and perhaps my eyesight is not as sharp, I don't like driving in the dark. I sometimes find it difficult deciding how far away cars are on the highway especially if there are loads of lights pointing in my direction. If find it quite a strain on my eyes. Perhaps if I practiced more, or wore eye glasses, i might not feel this way. But generally, I do love the technique and skill of driving and I pride myself on never having been stopped for any reason by the police.

Most of the time, I don't really enjoy driving, but it's a necessary part of modern life, especially where I live. If there's not a lot of traffic or I'm on vacation, it can be enjoyable though. There have been times then that I enjoyed it. But often it just feels tedious and a little dangerous. Lots of bad drivers are out there.

I used to live in Boston, and I loved riding the T because I could catch up on reading, finish my makeup if I was running late for work (Yes, I was one of *those* subway riders but in my defense I worked for The Body Shop and sold makeup, and doing my makeup (well) on the train was actually a very effective way for me to drum up business), etc.  I can't do any of that while I'm driving and I miss that a lot now that I live in an area with no mass transit.  However, I do love not having to figure out my schedule around buses and trains, and I enjoy driving, for the most part.  Driving when my kids are cranky, though, not as much fun...

I had an accident 4 months ago and have not been driving.  I like the freedom also...but no longer like to drive. I get anxiety.  i'll probably get over it with time.  but I enjoy staying home and that's a good thing.

I love driving and always have-since I was twelve and taking my parent's cars while they were sleeping! I have even picked up a few side jobs that allow me to drive and make some money! I love driving to and from work during the day-almost kind of bummed that my daytime engagement is less than four miles away! My son is getting his driver's license so I am losing driving time as he needs to get his driving time in (fifty hours of daytime driving/ten hours of night time driving). I love long drives as well.  Rather than taking an airplane to my parent's house I would rather make the fourteen hour drive...that is how much I love driving!

I love to get out and drive.  I like to roll down the window and feel the fresh air and listen to some great music and see whatever I see.

I think part of the reason I enjoy driving is because I sold my car several years ago and I walk a lot.  Now, if I rent a car and drive somewhere it seems pretty special, to me.

Have a great day!

I do enjoy driving. I love my car (2010 Mustang) so that helps! I would rather drive than ride as I get car sick.

I love driving but i hate back seat drivers. Also trust me once you don't have any transportation at all and on foot for a few years you'll want it back & once you do you'll find yourself feeling what true freedom is (any kind of motorized transportation will do not just a car). Plus you'll need a reliable transportation for your job (tho a bicycle counts as a reliable transportation but you are still limited to where you can go). :cat:

I love to drive! Go where your heart takes you because "you are born free!".
