Do you like going to the fair when it comes to town?
« on: August 18, 2014, 05:56:34 am »
We look forward to going to the fair because it comes to town when we celebrate our anniversary. So we go and that's how we celebrate it. It is so much fun.

Our grandkids usually have exhibits, so we go just about every year.  One thing that makes it an easy decision is our county fair is free admission and we park on the street and walk a little ways instead of using paid parking.

When I was younger I loved to go to the fair, but now that I am older I don't trust the rides anymore.

Ha ha, I don't DO the rides anymore. I push my luck far enough just eating the food.

Some of my fondest memories of growing up are visits to the fair with my Dad.  I think he enjoyed it as much as a I did.  When my kids were younger and we lived closer I would take them.  The older they got our fair visits were based on who was performing.  Now it's just so darn expensive.... and the thrill is gone.  However our church has a mission built around the fair so we may make a trip to pertake in that.

I don't like to go but my wife and I do it for the kids. It makes us happy when they enjoy the rides and also the food. Sometimes, it is so hard to find a parking space because it gets too crowded so we only go when parking is convenient. That is the only part why I don't like to go sometimes, but all of that is erased when the kids say, " thanks mom or dad." we had a great time."

I used to but not much now.  It just cost too much to play one quick game.

We used to love the fairs but they have become so commercialized that we stopped going a few years back. They are not the agricultural fairs that they used to be in New England.

I would like to go with my husband if it was free. It just seems to be very expensive. Who knows, maybe one day I might change my mind.
