You are so right.  Back to school is a sign but for some of us its a break from kids allday.

It's a depressing thought since I spent all summer working and did not get to enjoy it

I love this time of the year.  I know I will be so happy on the first day of school.

Yeah a break from at least one of mine right now anyway. My oldest should be starting college by January. (I hope.)

I was thinking about it too. My wife started buying school clothes for my children.

For the first time ever, the thought of children going back to school scares me.  I do no have any children of my own going back but I have a grandson going into first grade.  His pre-school and kindergarten didn't bother me so much, but now after so many school shootings, I worry a lot.  I know the odds are against it being at his school, but I am concerned about all children.  I saw a post on Facebook to pray for those going back to school, and that is what I am doing.

All the schools in my area are back in session now. I still like the idea of year round school with more scattered days off during the year. i think months off during summer just makes learning that much harder when they go back.

My daughter started Kindergarten.  5 days in she got the flu.  Since she had been to 2 years of daycare and 1 year of preK, I would have thought her immune system would have been built up.  Guess NOT.

Summer just flew by! I didn't get a chance to take a vacation and we have to prepare ourselves for the cold weather and the snow, as well as watch out for buses and kid.

It seems like school starts earlier and earlier every year and summers are shorter and shorter!  Is it just me?

School started for my grandkids on Monday.  Our oldest is a Senior this year.  The youngest is in 8th grade.

We are looking forward to volleyball and school plays.
