do you do anything for labor day

I rarely have specific  plans for Labor Day - mostly either catch up on yard work or go see a movie.

I have no plans for Labor Day.  Just my usual schedule.  Do some housework, wash some clothes and spend some time on the computer.

We just cook out and let the kids play in the pool for one last time.

I usually go for a morning bike ride and watch the local parade and maybe get an invite for a picnic but not lately.

I am thinking of having a bbque just for the family; nothing fancy. I got to get ready to go back to work.

That weekend is set aside for a family reunion.  Some times I go, but, I always ask for the time off from work.  Just incase I feel the need to do something special. Plus I usually work all the other holidays.

We used to watch the MDA labor day telethon when it ran for the 21 hours and even work it on the local end. Been a while since my family has done that though( 23 years to be exact). Since my family is affected by one of the 40 diseases it has always meant something to us. Now we just take it easy.

If I wasn't working, we would try to spend time hiking or relaxing with family with a BBQ.

Labor Day weekend is usually a time where our friends and family get together at a cookout and enjoy one another and good food. Since the summer usually goes by so fast and we don't see each other often, this day is that one day where we all can catch up on the going ons in each other's lives and stay in tune.
