Smoothie Recipes
« on: September 01, 2014, 11:27:15 am »
I'm wanting to integrate more raw and natural foods into my diet so I decided to play around with my high powered blender.  The following is a smoothie recipe that I like:

1 C. spinach leaves
1 C. kale
1 C. orange juice
1 C. frozen blueberries

My high powered blender is called a BLENDTEC blender and I highly recommend it.

Do you create smoothies?  If so, what are your favorite recipes?

Thanks.

You are a woman after my own heart.  That is pretty much what I have every morning for breakfast.  I use either apple juice or soy milk instead of orange juice though.  And about half the time I put protein powder in there too.  It's 100% toxic free protein powder and the protein comes from vegetables.  And everything I put in that blender is organic.  You are awesome!!!

My smoothie recipe is a little sweeter than yours. I place fat free greek yoghurt and fat free milk into my blender, I add frozen strawberries and peaches, pineapple cubes and fresh bananas. I add a trickle of vanilla essence and blend away for one or two minutes. The result is delicious! I don't weigh anything out, I just add as much or as little as I have on hand. Delicious, and extremely healthy!
