Are you scared of the lightning?

We live on flat rock and it strikes something every time we have a storm.

I find watching lightning and listening to thunder from indoors very soothing usually, as long as both don't get too close. I'm not scared of them, but sudden loud claps of thunder can definitely startle me. If you have good common sense and take shelter during storms, there's really nothing to worry about.

Generally speaking I love thunder and lightening. I say this with one exception and that is if I'm in the middle of nowhere without anywhere to take cover. Having said that, this doesn't happen very often so I sit home and marvel in the wonder that is, lightening. Strangely I do remember my first experience of thunder and lightening when I was about 4. I was in the UK and the thunder caused an outage. I remember being terrified and hiding underneath the piano in our living room. My mum heard me and came to rescue me. It hasn't tainted my excitement one bit.

No, there are much more scare than lightning.

No...only when I'm outdoors or if I feel it could knock the power out (I can't deal with power outages.)

I'm scared of it when I'm out in a rain storm, but if I'm inside, then I'm fine.  Luckily I haven't been caught out in the rain in a while.

I hate lightning and even thunder too. Several months back there was a guy that was at a southern California beach with friends and he went back to the water to watch the sand off his feet and at the same time lightening hit the water and it became electrified and he died. 

I shouldn't remember these kinds of stories but it does make you well aware how dangerous lightening can be even where you least expect it.

I'm hypersensitive; however, I'm fascinated with thunder and lightning.  It entertains me.

I'm not as afraid of thunderstorms as I was when I was a child, but I have a healthy respect for them.  And to those who say they are not afraid if they are inside, I know that lightning can come inside.  A couple of years ago I watched it streak across the floor in our basement.  Some years before that, a young man in our neighborhood was killed when he got out of bed during a storm.  Apparently, water had leaked onto the floor beside the bed, and, when he put his foot on the floor, he was struck by lightning coming through a window.  Many years ago, before cell phones, my grandmother was in the hospital.  While we were visiting her, I heard the most horrible screams by a woman on the same floor.  Someone said she was talking on the phone when lightning ran through and burst her eardrums.

Nope, if i am in the save place, for instance, while the storm strike, i am inside the building.
But if i caught in the middle of the storm, no covering, lightening become so scary.
