I know the longer you are in a coma, the worse your cjances are. I send well wishes to her and her family. She has made a lot of people laugh. She has also taken the a lot of jokes about herself with a great attitude. Get Well Soon Joan.

The longer it goes, the worse it looks. I don't think she will make it.  It is such a sad situation.  Ms. Rivers and family are in my prayers.

I don't think of it as a situation.  She is in her 80's.  She is old and has health problems.  Hard to say if she will be okay.  I do think it is totally foolish and outrageous that her family is considering a law suit against the hospital where she was when she had the heart attack or whatever she had.  They already have millions and their greedy *bleep* wants more.  It is not like they done something intentional here.  I also get irritated with all the statements that her family "have their fingers crossed" that she will be okay.  Really?  That just seems so foolish.  I don't know much about her personal life but all I can say is I hope she is ready to go.

I just heard she was moved into a private room from ICU.  It sounds like a good sign, but they are not saying if she is still on life support.

I think she is probably done for. I never really liked her, but don't wish her any harm. I hope she recovers

    Some people are almost gone...and then suddenly, they come back even stronger. Only time will tell!

It doesn't look good, imo. Poor Melissa. I can't imagine the situation she's in.

I'm sorry to say I just heard on HLN that Joan Rivers has passed away at 81. I do feel sorry for her daughter. I can't help but feel there will be a case up for discussion about the technicalities of whether Joan should have been in a proper medical establishment for her out of patient procedure and whether she was given the correct amount of anaethesia.
