Is anyone going to watch the series Constintine?  Series debuts in October

I was never into the comic but I was going to check it out for Lucy Griffiths (who played Marian in BBC's Robin Hood) but I hear she's been cut from the show. :(

I thought I'd give it a try... There are several comic-based series coming out this year that I want to at least watch a few episodes: Gotham, Flash (spin-off from arrow), and this.

Even though I am a big fan of all these types of shows, there are so many new 1's that I want to watch more then this 1...so I doubt I will be able to

I haven't seen it and didn't know it was a comic strip originally. I might check it out on demand.

Ennh, I'll pass. I wasn't even a fan of the Keanu Reeves version.

I just looked it up on Google, and it is actually Constantine.  I'd never heard of it either; I don't watch those types of programs.  I was just wondering if it was based on the ancient King Constantine.  Apparently it is not.

I know nothing of the comic, but the show has some promise.  The pilot was a bit rough around the edges - could tell the writers were challenged on how to cram the whole backstory into the first episode to get the audience up to speed.  I'll wait to see if it becomes a bit more focused in the next few episodes where it seems like he'll have more of a "team".

I must admit, I thought it quite humorous near the beginning where the girl just witnesses the ground opening up and fire spewing from the Earth, then freaks out and grabs a can of mace when a guy steps out of a taxi and offers to help her.  Yeah, that's what she should be afraid of...<face palm>

I dvr'd it and watched it last night.  I thought it was real good, shows a lot of promise.  I'll be watching next week for sure as most shows change a little after the pilot episode.
