Big Dog Hot Summer
« on: July 22, 2009, 07:10:42 pm »
We recently inherited a large dog with a very lovely but heavy coat. Then we moved from the mountains of Colorado to Ohio (damned if I know) and I have been wondering what folks do to keep their pets cool.  We don't have a/c so the house even gets warm in the afternoon.  Can't imagine shaving him (he'd be too embarassed) and at a 150# I know he must suffer.   Any ideas?

 If you don't want to embarrass him.. :)..is there anywhere to take him for a swim? It would cool him off for a little while.
