Shopping is one of my least favorite activities - and doing so in crowds is way not my thing.  I'm also not an early morning person, so I tend to pick up my groceries late Sunday afternoon.  Typically isn't too bad at that time of day - it's after the "after church" crowd where they've all gone home for fun or dinner.

try to beat the crowds but sometimes you must go when they're crowded.

I prefer to shop when it is quiet. I usually go after work. I get off at 9:30 pm, so it is pretty quiet during this time.

Do you like grocery shopping when the stores are super busy or early morning when it"s quiet?

When it's quiet - I try to only shop once a week so I spend less (you have probably experienced the, "Oh, I'm just grabbing one thing then before you know it you walk out with a cart full of stuff).

So, every Thursday I make my list and every Friday morning after I drop my son off at school I head on over the Walmart.  They really do have low prices and I really really like the new savings catcher they have.  So easy, all you have to do is scan or enter your receipt and they look for lower prices then give you an emailed gift card for the difference - AWESOME!

I can't imagine many people enjoy grocery shopping when the store is crowded. Everything takes longer, and people are always where you need to go. I try to plan my trips to the store when it's a bit quieter and avoid rush hour. But sometimes there's no other choice.

I love it first thing in the morning, when it is quiet & full of people stocking.
I stopped in the grocery store this morning @ 6:30 am after working out.   Got in & out quick & efficiently.  Bought a very nice pumpkin :)

I can't wait to get to the grocery store in the morning. No sooner have I thrown my children out the car (not literally) outside their schools that I head to my local grocery store where it is quiet and serene! To me, this is total therapy. I love my kids but when they are shopping with me, they run up and down the aisles, they pick stuff up,  muck about. I'm so pleased the summer holidays are over, back to some civility.

When it's quiet, if crowded I just opt to do another time, I like to read labels and take my time, when it's a crowd it's more difficult with people and carts pushing into everyone.

Since I shop at Walmart, It is always during the day and not on the weekend. I always try to shop when we are having to go to see doctors as it is 80miles one way. I buy very little here in this small town. I save so much when we go out of town. The small town I live is a welfare town. Those that want to work? can't pass the drug test.  So the government is what keeps this rinky dink store in business.

Obviously they do not want to work or they would lay off the drugs so they could pass a drug test and get a job.  But why get a job when you can get money for free.  What really makes me mad is there are people with real medical problems and they cannot get disability but druggies and pillheads don't seem to have any problems getting a disability check.

I usually try to go in the mornings when there are less people there.  The thing about late at nighht is things tend to be out of stock and finding an employee to put more out is pretty much not going to happen.  I usually have a lot of coupons and I am focused on getting those items and then what I need.  I try to ignore everyone around me.  Do my thing and then go home.  I don't like being there when it is crowded.

I'm not a shopper so I like to go either early morning or evening.  The best time is about 1 or 2 hours before the store closes.
