I agree the push everything early.  Good luck finding any selection of summer stuff in July.  Early july is all Back-to-School.  If you procrastinate to much at Christmas half the shelf space that once contained Christmas is now Valentines Day. 

Have to say Target is running a funny commercial for their layaway plan that pokes fun about the early advertising for Christmas!

Wow, that is surprising! Having said that, I saw a news article on HLN News just now saying that this year will be the biggest holiday recruiting mission since the nineties so it adds up that some supermarkets are already stocking holiday gifts and decorations. I don't mind how early the stores stock the shelves with holiday items but sometimes I do have to do a double take at "Wait,... did we already have Christmas and Thanksgiving or is it still in my future?".

Well fortunately for me here it is not happening yet, but usually right after halloween they slam you with the get your Christmas shopping down now. So annoying!

they've made Christmas into the biggest commercial holiday of the year.

Maybe someone somewhere aught to establish another day of reverence for Jesus' birthday on another day in the year.

It seems to get earlier and earlier every year. They make it to where it isn't even fun when Christmas actually gets here. I have seen Xmas in Walmart, Micheal's and Hobby Lobby.

I have this to say:  when they push Christmas so early I'm usually sick of the whole thing by mid-November.  Last year I would have been just as happy going under my bed on Thanksgiving Day and staying there until January 2.

I thought it was strange to celebrate Christmas in July. But I love Christmas anyway and it was neat. It really is more festive in the Winter time. The snow on the trees, hot choco, spending time with friends and those who you never met before. I enjoy shopping at Christmas. Especially the shows in the malls. That was my very favorite thing because I love music.  I love that better than the shopping.

They have always had the Christmas in July.  I am not sure what the orig. meaning was suppose to be.  I am thinking it had to do with kids in other countries or the soldiers or something like that.  I think our Walmart had a tree up in July just for the one or two days.  I love the Christmas season.  I just hate how it makes people act.  And I hate hearing people complain about it.  Or about having to buy gifts.  The filter on my mouth seems to be gone so this year when I hear that I will probably give them an ear full.  If buying gifts is that big of a deal or burden then why are you doing it?

Well at least this might be a better time to do it so you don't get stuck in line during the holiday season. I would say this is brilliant for the people who have a lot of money. For me I will have to wait until it is after the holiday. LOL
