Most area's have a pantry that provides people with low income or no income food.  I don't know where you live but you can talk to Social Services, or the health Department in your area for the food pantry.

Some local churches may give out food basket weekly or monthly.   if you really looking for help you may need to go to the your local Welfare office to get food stamps to buy all the food you may need. good luck to you.

Many places offer something free on your birthday. I think Waffle House gives you a free waffle. Many restaurants give a free dessert. You can try couponing. If you're strategic you can get groceries dirt cheap, sometimes free if you're really good. You can look around free sample websites like teenfreeway's food secction. I got a free box of cherrios once. I haven't tried lately I'm sure I could have got more. I know it's not a real meal or anything but better than nothing for free. Hope this was helpful :)

Various restaurants have free food on your birthday for signing up with them.  Recently I got a free burrito from California Tortilla.

My mom is pretty bad off financially and she goes to local churches and they supply families in need with food and clothing.

I live in a big city and there are several places that offer free food.  Maybe ask around or on facebook and somebody will help you out.

Sometimes I stumble across a survey that offers food to sample and voice an opinion on.  In turn they often pay a few extra bucks for taking the time in completing a survey.  Some things I've received are pizza, crackers, cookies, coffee creamer.  Ya just never know what some survey's lead you to.

The only thing i could think of is maybe soup kitchen which doesn't really help you because it seems like that is what everybody else is saying as well.

These would be the first places to start:

*Go to all the local churches and see when and if they feed the homeless/hungry

*Go to homeless shelters. They're the first to know of local places/charities that feed the hungry/homeless

*Apply for government assistance

*Contact all local charities

*Contact local grocery stores. Some stores, do give out food they're not going to be able to sell

Those are the steps you'll want to take.

A lot of cities have a food bank; our town has one that is administered through the police department, requiring a person to apply there.  It amazes me how many transients asking for help will not take advantage of this service, which makes me wonder if they are dodging a criminal warrant or something.

Some churches also have food distribution kitchens and there are also community gardens that allow people to pick produce for free.

I think sine restaurants offer free food when they are closing down.. Since they will probably throw it out anyways, so why not give it away.. However don't continuously go there because they will question you... Other than that warehouse stores always have free samples

It probably depends on where you live. I know in some areas there are soup kitchens and rescue missions that give out food, clothing, blankets free of charge to anyone who needs it. I also saw on the news the other day that there were one or two restaurants who were offering free hot lunches to those that need it, but this was a local thing. Perhaps you should check your local newspaper or call the salvation army, local churches, food pantries in your area. It can't hurt. Where do you live?
