I guess it depends on the situation. I know someone that is legally a sex offender because of a minor that showed up at his house while he was drunk and she seduced him because she had a crush on him for a long time. He wasn't able to do anything about the situation because of the alcohol. I guess if it were another situation like that, it would be a bit different than if something was done intentionally.

I don't feel sorry for him.  If you are drunk you should still be held responsible for your actions.  Unless she raped him then he could have done something.

Why are they a sex offender?

You could end up being a registered sex offender for having consensual sex with someone a couple years younger than you. Public urination will get you on the list in some states. That is much difference than those on the list for rape or any crimes against children

Took the words out of my mouth, it depends on the reason why that person is a sex offender, my friend has a daughter that is dating a guy that is on the list because his girlfriend was 16 he was 18, in Florida, and he was labeled as a sex offender for having had consensual sex with his girlfriend, the girls parents did not like that they were having sex and report it, so here he is label for life as a sex offender for doing what every teenager does.  So to answer your question, it depends on the reason why that  labeled a "sex offender".

Every teenager does not have sex.

If they were accused of being a sex offender becuase they did something that involved children then hell nooo. I think that if a parent does that they are so irresponisble and worse than the person

I have a friend who is divorced and his ex is dating one. disgusting!!
How do you know what this person is and what type of offender he is. I know a person who did something with a person found out she was not the age she said and she tripped him up because all he wanted was a one night stand. Sad case. Now days ID first and 2 co-signers. Just saying trust no one. No I would not date one especially if they were truly a bad person.

In case you didn't know, having sex with someone while they are not sober and actually able to give consent is indeed rape.

I would never.  But I do know that the justice system makes mistakes because they tried to say my brother in law did something and I know for a fact he didn't he was in jail almost two years and the reason I know is because the day this thing happened I was at his house and the place where it happened was 40 miles away and he had no friends or a car plus I was at his house.  But knowing that a person actually did it no I would not date them.

no way especially if you have children.  they say that they can be rehabilitated but would you really want to take that chance with the children that you love?

I don't know depends on the situation, some people are registered sex offenders because they were 18 and the other was 17 but lied about her age and the parents find out and press charges, That the person has no control over. But if we are talking about a real sex offender who knows they are committing the crime then no I wouldn't.
