Toilet poll ?
« on: September 21, 2014, 05:43:46 am »
I went to a friends house the other day and I needed to use her bathroom. She said to me if your just going to pee, don't flush we are trying to conserve water. I asked her how many pees are there before you flush, she said only 2 lol....does anyone else who wants to admit this, do that ?....I know foolish question but it got me wondering lol

I would never do it with guests or if I knew guests were coming, but if it was my own place and just me and I was paying for water usage, then yeah, I might do it. Sometimes when I'm at large stadium/venue and there's a lot of people, I do it too, since I know it will only be another minute until the next pee....

Yes, I do it in my own house but would never ask a guest to do it nor leave pee in the toilet if I knew guests were coming over.

Sorry but that's just plain wrong on so many levels.  I'm not going into the specifics as to why.   :pumpkin:

I used to do it for the family where we lived at the time because we had to buy our water and pump it to the house but I never ever mentioned it to guests.

I totally agree with you.  This is wrong on so many levels.   Asking a guest to not flush, or to not flush before a guest comes over is horrible... on so many levels.

I live in California & we have a major drought, but we are only ask to conserve 10%.    I don't know where any city is asked to conserve by asking not to flush.   Mostly it is just not watering your lawn on Fridays & alternate days based on even/odd street addresses.

Sorry but we NEVER do that.  You go to the bathroom, I don't care what you do, but you flush!

Sorry, I couldn't do this, not for my own home or anyone else.  It would be like coming in to a public toilet where many people don't care and leave the place a mess.  Not happenin'.

Well...what can I say? There is a severe draught in California. People are trying to drill wells to get to the water. Obey your friend because probably there is a water shortage where they live.

Living alone, I would do this, but if family/friends were home I would not do it. It's a way to save water.

I did it when I lived alone and would do it again if I lived in an area that was in a drought or something, but other than that, no I would not do it now.  Two toddlers and unflushed toilets are bound for disaster. Lol  I also would never ask guests to do that!  If I had company over, I would just deal with the extra water usage for a little bit.

I've had a coworker admit this during elevator discussion, but this is not something I would want to admit and definitely not something I would ask or enforce with extended family or friends who coming to visit. If anything, this policy should stay in the confines of the people already in the household.
