How safe do you feel when you walk out the door everyday?

I feel pretty safe where I live but I live out side the city limits and out in the country and I know all my neighbors for years so I do feel safe to walk out on my porch.  The Town Closest to me only has a little over 700 hundred people in it so it a really small town and up the road in the other direction there is even a small little town its population is 2.

I'm not too far off from a major city, but I hardly ever feel threatened whenever I walk out and about. In fact, I usually don't have much anxiety whenever I usually go around most places and the last time I got nervous anywhere was in Paris (I was surprised).

When it's broad daylight, probably 95% safe.  However, since I work nights, most of the time I'm heading out closer to 7PM if not later, at which point, I'm constantly checking to make sure I'm not being followed or whatever, so maybe that drops to a 75% or less if my family is out of town and it would take someone a good 20 minutes to get to where I am.

I live in a very small town and I have never been scared.  But, now I am very cautious.  I have to walk my dogs and I let them take the lead as to protect us.  It is sad to be scared in your own neighborhood.

I must feel pretty safe because I never thought about it.  We Americans take our safety for granted.

i used to walk my son to the park which is about 20 blocks away from our house but here recently their have been a ton of bank robberies and shootings in my city so i no longer go.  we are even buying a gun and getting a big dog just to have added security.  really glad we no longer live in the area that we recently moved from because it has been swallowed up by the ghetto in our city and is constantly on the news for police raids and gun shots.

I feel pretty safe.  I'm always aware of my surroundings and who is around me.  I don't put myself in situations that could be detrimental and ALWAYS listen to my gut.  I just go about my business and live my life.

Moderately safe, I guess. Well, depending on if I'm alone or using the buddy system. lol I always carry pepper spray and try to be super aware and cautious of my surroundings and not take chances with anything. I've had one significant experience when I was out one summer evening walking to the store with my sister that was horrifying, but normally the area I'm in is pretty quiet. It's the city nearby that you have to worry the most about! :confused1:

I feel pretty safe.  I live in a good area and I am always aware of my surroundings.  I think that is the most important part of being safe.  Always be cautious, always be aware, don't do anything stupid.  I never go out alone after dark.

Not safe at all! Humans attacking humans, animals attacking humans and finally, humans attacking animals.

I worry about if I will make it back safely and i wonder how much longer I will be walking out of this door. I wonder if i will find another door to walk out of. I just do not know what to expect each day.
