My daughters are 13 and 11 and want to trick or treat.  How is too old to go?

You are never to old to go.    13 & 11 still are youngsters.
Life is meant to be enjoyed, if they are enjoying trick or treating, good for the older generations.    I would love to see older people as well dress up & trick or treat, it would be a blast.

I have tweens & teenagers trick or treating in my neighborhood.   I enjoy them.  I liked to see the effort they put in their costume & I always have tons of candy I am happy to give away to who ever wants it.

You're never too old to enjoy yourself!  Halloween is great fun around our house!  My daughter and I dress up, decorate the yard to the hilt, and have so much fun on Halloween that people actually bring cameras with them and take photos with us, LOL.

I think 13 and 11 year old kids are not too old to trick or treat.

I think it depends on the child.  I've had some "kids" come to my door with real mustaches and weighing about 200 lbs!  I do feel that is a bit too old for trick or treating.  I think of trick or treating as more for younger kids, not 16-18 year olds.

Go for it!  You are only young once, let them enjoy Trick or Treat.  If they were 17 and 15 I would say no, but they are still young!

Thirteen and eleven? Definitely NOT too old to go. Kids go in their teens, i.e. 16, 17 and even 18. I think under 20 years of age is fine, 19 might be a bit of a stretch but it's still not a big deal. Any age older than this.... come on, leave it for the kids and just go buy candy after it goes on sale if you don't have much money to spend on it.  :pumpkin:

I went when I was 12 or 13 so I think your children are still young enough. Sometimes I still wish I was a kid and could go b/c I remember how fun it was to get all dressed up and go out with my sister and dad.

If they are still interested in and hyped up about trick or treating, please encourage them!!! ;D Kids grow up far too fast!!! Enjoy helping them pick out costumes, and taking pictures, and all that. Those ages are definitely not too old at all. When I was 13 or 14 I was still trick or treating.  :) :pumpkin:

Personally, I don't celebrate Halloween at all.  Things seem to be a lot different than when I was a kid though.  When I was a kid if a 13 year old went trick or treating they would be laughed out of the school.  But these days you have kids in high school that go.  I have a neighbor that has a daughter than is in 7th or 8th grade and he rides baby toys that are for like a 18 month old baby down the road in front of the house.  When I was a kid you would have been made fun of for playing for baby toys.
