Isn't it strange that all of a sudden, the infected Dallas health care workers are taking vacations, and traveling not only in this country but out of the country as well?  It's like they are purposely trying to spread Ebola as fast and far as possible. Not only the second nurse, who flew to Ohio and back, but now I just read that a lab worker took a cruise! They need to enforce isolation of all the health care workers in that hospital, since apparently they aren't responsible enough to stay put on their own.
It does
look that way. All we can do is pray that somehow we can ward off these threats. Hopefully we can make it through this administration. Ebola was quarentined out of the US until Obama took off restrictions.

You would think professionals in the health care industry would be more knowledgeable and know not to travel if they had been exposed at all.  People need more common sense these days.

Too much is made out of them being in the healthcare profession. They were told they weren't infected and approved to travel by the CDC, people who knew more about the Ebola then they do, so why not?

People in the health care industry are "exposed" to things all the time. Even things like the FLU or the common cold are more contagious and result in more deaths every year than Ebola. Is it just common sense that people in the health care industry should never travel?

BMaston12, I did not know that ebola was quarantined out of the U.S. before now.  Where did you learn this information, please?  I'd like to know.

76 people treated Duncan while he was in hospital. One flies to Cleveland to visit her mom for the weekend, and another, who never had any direct contact with Duncan, takes a cruise that was planned months in advance. I guess 2 of 76 is pretty close to all of them.

I can't understand why can't we have temporary travel ban in the very first place before US got the infected. I don't know if the weather start getting very cold and would it possible to get ride of Ebola virus?

I think sometimes we have such good health care here that we get over confident and think we can cure everything and forget we don't have all the answers to fix everything.

This whole situation is bad.  I can't believe they actually brought infectious people into this country and is still allowing them in!
Have a wonderful day!

I feel the same way.

If you're exposed to a deadly disease, why in the world would you purposely soon thereafter go on a cruise or fly in an airplane?

I guess common sense isn't so common after all.  :-\

Especially a disease that people know so little about. Look at the way the CDC claims its not airborne, but the the WHO says it is. If the leaders can't even agree, how are the ordinary people supposed to know what to do? Common sense would err on the side of caution, but like you said, it isn't common any more.
