Update Flash, refresh browser, and clear cache/cookies

Youtube should play on all browsers. I use Safari and never had a problem. And it works well on Chrome.

I've never had a problem with YouTube and I use Firefox. However I do know that the more recent versions of Firefox now allow you to set whether Adobe Flash plays on particular sites. Also check what extensions are running on your browsers; I've heard that some extensions (like AdBlock) may cause this issue. If you are trying to access YouTube from within some organization's network (ie your work, school, etc.), they sometimes have filters like to different sites or prevent multimedia from playing (so as to protect themselves from lawsuits).

I'd try to make sure that everything is up-to-date (both the browsers as well as Flash). You can also try disabling all of your extensions, and then if YouTube now works, add back the extensions one at a time until you find the culprit.
