My Life Is So Eratic
« on: October 28, 2014, 06:31:56 am »
So turns out i get my grandsons every weekend after taking there little sister in to raise because there mom is locked up,but my youngest grandson who is 9 is constantly getting mad at us all and saying i hate you i`m never coming back this breaks my mom `s heart  she cries me i tell him his mother has already hardened my heart by being mean so if that what he is doing it is not going to help,he says he doesnt blame my mom for his mom being locked up but i really beleive he does we have tried to explain to him we tried to fight to keep him but courts were on his dads side.Anyone have any suggestions on how to cope with this

I'm really sorry for your situation.  I wish I had a solution to help but I guess just try your best, you really have a lot to deal with.  Best of luck!

Have you tried talking to his father? As in teaming up and talking to your grandson together? I don't have grandchildren, I have a 5 year old, but I have a hard life too. My son has Autism and is nonverbal and everyday is a struggle trying to understand him the best way that I can. All the advice I could give you is to constantly remind your grandson of the things he has in life that make his life good. Remind him that he is special and he is wanted and so important to be there for his family. I hope this helped any. This is what I would do if I was in your situation!
Good Luck and don't give up. Boys take time, sometime a longggggg time to understand! Lol  ;)

Continue to be there for him. Keep listening and offering encouragement. In time he'll be getting older and understanding more of the situation you all are in. This is also a good time to teach him that gratitude has it's own rewards.

This is a hard situation and he may need to be a little older before he turely understands.  This is hard time for him and just remind him you love him but the courts says he has to live with his dad and that the judge says you can come visit.  Just be patient and understanding with him because he is most likely confused

Sounds like he could use some professional counseling.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  It's not easy for him to deal with the absent of his mother.  Keep talking to him and he will get the message that life is not fear.

I agree!
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)
