I think that Horror should not only be bone chilling scary, but have a good story line, like the old days....

I don't watch horror movies. Majority of them have no plot. My husband watches them a lot while I just work on my laptop. I listen sometimes and hear all the nonsense.

i couldnt agree more here lately there really havent been any good horror movies.  i want the jump and the scare  come on and make a good scary movie for a change.

If you want a scary movie, watch the japanese version of basically anything! They don't scare with loud noises, they scare you with not showing the gore and whatnot.

It's the American mainstream "horror" films. They're meant to be "scary" by adding loud sounds instead of with a good story. If you want to watch a scary film, watch the japanese version...they don't show the scary scenes (the camera cuts away) and that makes your mind wander.
