some surveys are long, but most are short and pay well... I do any survey I qualify for, be it short or long, to get credited... it all adds up toward my cashout
As far as the 5 minute commercial surveys go, I am lucky to finish in 15 minutes (sometimes they have taken me 30 minutes)    I really don't see how I could do them much faster?   The 6 video ads are really short, and I answer the group of questions after each one about as fast as I can, then immedately click on the next ad.  Don't get me wrong, i am really grateful for these surveys because they are one of a few that I usually qualify  for and they are entertaining and fun!

I don't mind the length of surveys as long as I get paid adequately for my time and the questions don't get ridiculous.  Once they start likening companies and services to people and personality traits, especially over and over again, it becomes hard to focus and give the survey any credibility.  I sometimes wonder about the people that write some of these surveys and what they are trying to attain for the company.  I also wonder if anyone at the company reviews the survey and asks the same question.  If I can see a connection in the questions to truly attaining information and logical opinions, I don't mind.  But sometimes I just don't, even from the viewpoint of psychology or sociology.

On my previous post I meant to reply  to "ladavia89' :turkey:

It's usually 6 30 second videos. That's a total of 3 minutes. The questions are usually multiple choice or picking a number on a sliding scale so it doesn't take that long to do. The only thing that requires typing is what brand it is so I don't see how it could take 30 minutes to do all that

[/quote                  Yeah as I said the ads are real short.  As I recall there are 2 pages of multiple choice questions for each ad.   For each ad you type in the brand, and before that on another page it asks you how the ad ad made you feel.  (i usually type in 1 or 2 sentences)  maybe its my PC but there are a few seconds of loading time for each video, and also at the end a multiple choice question about when you plan to buy a new car and finally you slide it to the # it asks for.    And as  I said i am not the "fastest gun in the west"!    Happy Thanksgiving, ladavia89 and all FC members!

I agree.  I don't mind the length of a survey as long as it does compensate me adequately for my time.  Every survey doesn't need to pay huge but an hour long survey that only pays a quarter is too much for me.

I also agree about some of the questions being ridiculous or way too personal.  I don't care how much a survey promises to pay, there is some information I absolutely refuse to hand out.  I do not give a survey company my home address, my vehicle VIN numbers, social security number, bank account information, etc.  All of that information has been asked of me at some point in the past on surveys (on various sites) and none of it, I feel, is anything a survey company needs to know.  I don't feel that a survey company should even have the right to ask me my home phone number or my mobile phone number.

I don't mind a longer survey, as long as it's paying what it's worth.  I've come across many surveys lately (not only on FC, but other places), that are 40 minutes long and pay a quarter.  I always keep in mind what the survey is paying and how long it is.  If I don't think it's worth it, I skip over it.

Some of the surveys I've completed lately have seemed kind of long. Just like most, I do prefer the shorter surveys and watch for the length in minutes on the FC Surveys list. Those Peanut Lab surveys seem to pay the least amount for the time it takes to do one of their surveys, so I choose the other surveys to qualify for first.

I prefer shorter surveys. it is easier to commit to a few short surveys as opposed to one short one.

I prefer shorter surveys because the longer ones can get tedious. I'm okay with longer surveys if I feel the amount it pays is fair.

well I just did a survey for 20 minutes. after they had me put in my stats 5 times they let me do a survey on reading magazine articles. after answering all the questions at the end of the articles 3 times then I got a box that had no way to click on next so I was frozen out of the survey after all that work for no reason other than to grab my ideas and run with them to send me all kinds of emails or something like that but to not even pay me a quarter. Im out of here for today.
