If you were talking to someone and they had food stuck in their teeth would you tell them or wait for the next person to?

I would tell them, because I would think it would be appreciated & I would want someone to let me know if I had something in my teeth.   I generally check my teeth with a compact if I'm out eating, simple.

I probably would tell them, but it would depend on who it was and my relationship with them.  I worry about food in my teeth and keep a toothpick handy.  If I'm out eating I use a small mirror to discreetly check my teeth.  Seems as I've gotten older my gums have receded somewhat and it makes it easier for food to be caught in my teeth.  Anyone else have this issue?

I guess it would depend how well i knew them.I would want to tell them out of helping them rather than humiliate them like some might do.

If you dont know them that well they might take it the wrong way thats why i may be silent!!

I would tell them about it. We all have been there, so it's not that bad.

Depends on who it is.  Kind of like when somebody has a booger hanging out of their nose.  Sometimes you have to avoid looking at them and wait for them to leave.

I ALWAYS tell them. I point directly to the spot I'm looking at and say, "You've got something right there." They will try to get it and I'll redirect them to the correct area, if necessary, but people want to know if there's something not quite right about their appearance.  :-[

It's harder with boogers and stuff, of course. You just have to objectify by saying "something" instead of being too specific. I wouldn't want to be told I have a booger hanging out of my nose. But I would not object to someone saying, "There's something right there" and then point to their own face as a mirror reflection.

See how easy that is? You're performing a valuable public service. You're welcome.  :notworthy:

Yes, I would tell them. I carry floss in my purse if they needed it.

I'd tell them unless it looked like they already knew and were trying to clean it out with their tongue. Although this weekend I was at a community dinner and saw the wife of this one guy picking the food out of his teeth! Talk about gross!

I would tell them, just as I would want someone to tell me if I had food in my teeth.

It all depends if I know the person well. I'm not shy, but I am in that stuff.
