He said he'd pull troops out of Iraq so they stop dying, AND THEN HE PUTS THEM IN AFGANISTAN WHERE THERE WERE MORE DEATHS THAN IN IRAQ! He has NO experience whatsoever in running this country, and he's just out for fame and fortune. In my opinion, his "Change" is messing up the economy, killing people, and throwing our money in the garbage. I don't want to start a fight, but that's EXACTLY what he did, it's facts, not opinions, so you wanna fight the facts, go to the press.

R U KIdding me, yeah he is pulling the troops out of Iraq cause now our troops are just sitting there,  I support our military but i believe that going to Iraq was little bush's revenge for big bush.  I believe we should be in Afghanistan and fns Bin Laden, did you forget already.  Maybe if our troops where there and not in Iraq the person responsible for attacking the UNITED STATES would be dead.

I'm not impressed at all with the job that he is doing. I am just trying to ride it out untill we can vote in a new president.

I don't really pay attention to what he's doing. Even though I voted for him, I figured I'd just wait until he's half way through this term. It took Bush a while to screw up and personally, things will only get worse before they will get better. No one knows if Obama will put us in the right direction yet. He may fix the U.S. or set things in motion for the next president. Either way I personally think he's 100x better than Bush. To me Bush was a moron who knew nothing and couldn't pronounce words. There's no reason to be in Iraq except to get oil. He claimed it was to find Bin Laden. He was never there, nimrod.

And one of my good friends is married to a marine. He's only been deployed once since Obama was in office and it was only for a few months. When she was pregnant, Bush was in office. He missed out on most of the pregnancy and almost missed the birth of their daughter because he was being demanded to return to service.

Government debt isn't the problem, consumer debt is the problem.  The government can take care of its debt in a relatively short period of time.  Consumers can't.

It's all very scary.  The older folks I've talked to seem to see repeats of bad decisions the country has made in the past.  I saw a bumper sticker that said we've hit barack bottom. I will have to start paying more attention to have a valid opinion.

I have actually made money in the stock market since President Obama took office.  I received stimulus checks and have incentives for various purchases.  Life is Great under President Obama.

Personally, I love Obama, I  think he is going to bring about some really good changes. My entire family voted for him during this election. He seems like he truly CARES about the people in this country, and thats very vital in being a good president.

I don't know how old you are, but you don't understand the basics of economy if you think Obama is bringing about good changes.  When you get older, and not rely on your parents opinions, your opinion will change.

Wow!  Seems as though you started a thread that people really have an opinion on.  I don't want to start a fight either, but I am really into watching what goes on in politics.  Because I don't have alot of income, some of the things they are doing will help me.  For example, my mom just helped me buy a car.  Because I was driving a 13 year old jeep, I used cash for clunkers and got $7,000 credit towards a new car.  I am currently working with my mortgage company to lower my house payment because my taxes and insurance have gone up so much that now my total house payment is about 40% of my income.  I have no health insurance because I work for a company that does not have it and I have pre-existing conditions so no one will insure me.  So you could say these plans could benefit me.  However, think about where the money to help me came from.  It came from hard-working or maybe just lucky people who had more than me.  I think that is wrong.  I don't want people who have less than me, for whatever reason, to take from me.  Do you?  I like the saying that : I never got a job from a poor man.  If there aren't any wealthy people left to pay taxes, start businesses, hire people, what then?  I don't think we are all supposed to have the same.  That is one of life's lessons.  Things are not always fair, even when you do your best to try.  Am I being a hypocrite for taking the government's money.  Probably, but I am not sure what else to do until opportunities open up for me, and I am pretty sure those opportunities will be created by someone who has more than me.
