I like to eat chinese rice soup (jook) with chicken, beef, pork, fish and ginger and some dim sum on the side.

My personal favorite is a nice hot bowl of chili over pasta with cheddar chesse melted on top. With toasted French bread on the side. Yummy! Or how about a nice hot roast beef, medium rare, with baked potato and sour crème and fresh steamed broccoli on the side. Double yummy!

Soup - a thick creamy soup full of vegetables and meat.  Add a roll and you've got a meal that pleases.

I agree with you. When it is cold, I like to put soup in a crock pot with beef in it and I like having biscuits on the side.

I make a big pot of vegetable and bean soup and serve it with a few taco chips on top with a sprinkle of cheddar or parmesan cheese.  My husband likes to add more protein - leftover chicken or whatever's in the 'frig.  It is so delicious and just perfect for a cold evening.
