What were some classic toys/games you used to play with as a child. Play-Doh, Slinky, Silly Putty, etc.?

Yes, I had Slinky and Silly Putty, but mostly played outdoors when nice, going on the swing sat or jumping rope, playing ball, tag, and hopscotch. When staying indoors, I mostly played cards or board games such as Monopoly, Parcheesi, and Sorry with my sisters or friends. Also chess and checkers.

I had a fixation with Perfection and SuperPerfection for a while.  I was also one of those Rubic Cube kids - still have mine...can still solve it (after some quick refresher practices).

I did used to have a slinky but I always remember getting it knotted up which was disappointing! My favorite toy was at my Grandpa's house. He had a manual go kart with push peddles. I was so disappointed one year when we turned up and he had given it away to the orphanage. I remember my mum trying to convince me that they needed it more than me but I don't recall agreeing with her!

I had a slinky as well. Didn't play with it much. Mostly it was Clue, Monopoly, Sorry, Parchese, and of course my Barbie's and the dream house that was made out of cardboard and pressed wood for the floors. But lets not forget the card games we used to play and have since taught my own daughters.

I had a slinky and silly putty.  The slinky has to be one of the first triumphs of advertising over reality!  The advertising jingle still reverberates in my head when I think of the slinky!

Never had a "super ball" but always wanted one.

Classic games like scrabble and monopoly were also a big part of my childhood.

Slinky, Yo-yos, Click Clacks, Silly Putty (fun with the Sunday Comics in the newspaper), Pogo Stick, Spalding *bleep* (loved to play stoop ball or handball).  I had dolls, but wasn't very big on them.  I remember one thing I did with my "Thumbelina" doll.  I wanted a baby boy, so I cut her hair off short, LOL.  I remember when I was a kid I wanted an Air Hockey table.  Not the cheap one, the good one.  Unfortunately, we didn't have the space for it, so I never got that.  I'd still like to have an Air Hockey table now, LOL.

I use to like to play with Hot Wheels, Play Doh, Slinky, Perfection, Legos...  There is just so many. I regret giving away a lot of them, especially the Hot Wheels as I think they would be worth money now. I think some might also be good if I had another kid again as some of the items I've seen out there have been sometimes generally poor quality.

I remember when I was a child I used to play with Legos, that time Legos wasn't that popular either compare to nowadays. They are very expensive too.

I spent hours playing with Jane and Johnny West and their horses, Thunderbolt, Thundercolt, and Poncho.

Board games with my siblings were Rummy Royal, Life, Parcheesi, and Monopoly.
