Do you think it's ok for underage children to tatoos or piercings? Not the ear.

From what I know I believe women were decorated so to speak in Jesus' time with piercings such as earlobes.  Tatoos historically have been a means of ownership.  ie: Natzi's getting #'s tatooed on there forearms.  God created our skin  to be beautiful and the only markings he intended to be on us are birthmarks, freckles and even scars.  So I don't condone tattoos for anyone.  No matter the age.

I don't think underage tattoos should be allowed.  I know teenagers can be quite resilient in what they want and try to pressure parents into signing permission but the parents need to stay strong on this one.
I am not against tattoos, I actually have one.  But, I was in my 30's when I got it. I always wanted a small tattoo but had a hard time deciding the perfect art for it.  Just imagine a teenager who likes Justin Bieber getting that tattoo and then 10 years later thinking, what did I do?....lol

Sorry...but I hate tattoos.  I look at these kids in their teens and twentys with tattoos covering all their arms, legs, or faces.  I wonder what they will think when they become senior citizens sitting in a nursing home with all these tattoos?  If you want a tattoo, then get a snall one, don't cover your body.

Well I think this not a good idea for young teens. Once they 18 it is their choice but also should know if they want a job like Lawyer or Doctor they should twice of where they place them. Not seen in areas like the arms, face. You want a good rapport with the public.

My personal opinion is that I don't like tattoos on men or woman. I well placed piercing is OK but when I see it in the tongue etc it makes me a little squeamish.

I got my first tattoo when I was 13 . then 15 . a couple more at 19 and then I grew up and stopped for a few years until I was 30. then I got cover ups of the tattoos I originally got .

As long as the person understands that they can't undo it and thinks their decision through, it should really be up to the person who is going to have the tattoo regardless of their age. Your body is yours and no one else's. That also means no one else's body is yours. You should be able to do whatever you want to do with your body, and other people should be able to do the same. So of course it would be okay.

Well, really no. My husband has a tattoo and I love it, but it's not right for anyone under age to get a tattoo - even if it says "I luv mum"!. I feel the same with ear-rings. Obviously they look nice in the ears (of both boys and girls) but they shouldn't be anywhere else on the body until they are of appropriate age. Talking of tattoos, have you seen those wonderful "jewellary" tattoos? What a wonderful idea. They are so appropriate for the youngsters and they just come off with baby oil.

I don't like the look of tattoos or piercing at any age.  Aside from ears that is :confused1:

I have both tattoos and piercings, but a kid under 18 shouldn't have either.  My kids didn't get their first tattoos until they were 18, no matter how much they begged, LOL.
