Sounds interesting.  Was it missing some of the browned skin thought?

I don't think I'd like boiled turkey. Nothing beats a nice roasted stuffed turkey. Although I would like to try a deep fried turkey some day.

Boiled turkey doesn't sound like it could be very good at at all. Maybe health wise but not taste wise. Did you season it with anything?

If you say so.  Boiled turkey sounds nasty.  Fried turkey is really good haven't  had it in a few yeasrs though.

It seems like it'd take much longer to make. It probably wouldn't be as dry, so it sounds like it'd be worth a try.

I'll stick with the roasting, however I do boil my chicken :)

Call me old-fashioned but I just can't imagine cooking a turkey any other way besides baking.  My husband has talked about frying one but so far I've been able to talk him out of it.

I don't think I would like boiled turkey, but I too am interested in tasting deep fried turkey.

This year we had one traditional baked turkey, and one fried.  The fried one tasted wonderful and the coloring on it was great.  Also cooks much faster than baking.       I quit stuffing the turkeys 10 or 12 years ago and the family does't know the difference.  I just had heard so many horror stories about food poisoning from the stuffed turkeys.    I still get requests every year for the stuffing recipe.

I concur with you. I would love to try a deep fried turkey. I can't imagine not having a roasted chicken stuffed with dressing. MMM mmm just delicious.

I'm not sure if I would try boiled chicken, but I agree with others this could be healthier. Of course, usually during Thanksgiving I'm usually eating everything else and actually only eat just a little of turkey itself.

I'm not quite sure how boiled turkey would work, but I guess it couldn't be much worse than boiled chicken. I'll definitely stick with my roasted turkey though, nothing beats that flavor!
