I don't have kids, but when I was growing up I believed in Santa until I grew up and realized the truth.  :)
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

If I had children yes I would let them believe in Santa up until they were old enough to know better, theres nothing wrong with a little Christmas magic :)

That's how I was raised; no one ever mentioned to my siblings and I that Santa isn't real - we just figured it out over time. I liked it that way! :)

I allowed my children to believe in the fantasy of Santa until they began to ask questions.  Then I was honest with them about the Santa thing being fictional and that the real reason we celebrate Christmas is to demonstrate love and respect for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  My children were raised as Christians so our default was set on remembering Jesus.

Have a great day!

Kids need to know the truth.  Playing Santa Claus is fine but I don't think you should tell kids a fat man rides around in a sleigh sneaking into your house at night leaving presents.

All my grandchildren believe in Santa as long as they wanted to. My grandchildren believe in Santa and the older ones don't tell

When I was younger my parents told me and my siblings the truth when we reached about middle school, but now both of us are grown, and I now have a son, and we still get Santa Gifts :) So its a little bit of both we were told, but we also try to keep the magic alive. So that is what I will do with my little one. When the time is right i will tell him, but he will still receive santa gifts as he gets older just to keep the spirit alive :)

Middle School??  So you believed in Santa until around 7th grade?  That just seems odd.  I did believe in Santa as a kid.  I think 2nd grade was the last year and my brother and I figured it out. lol  We still get gifts that say Santa just for fun.  I said something to a kid a few years ago about Santa not being real and she was in 6th grade.  And then I realized she did not know he was not real.  Thing is I went to church with her and it just blew my mind that a kid that old would still believe in Santa and flying reindeer.  Smh.

I think it's horrible to take that fondness from a child.  As the get older, children learn there really isn't a Santa Claus.  The look on their faces cannot be replaced.  I enjoyed Christmas as a child and loved it and still loved it as I grew into an adult.

I don't have kids but I have cousins, nephews and nieces that I have babysat.  As kids, we all believed in Santa Claus but grew out of it when we got older.  I don't see any wrong with kids believing in Santa Claus.

Don't have kids but I would would probably go along with the Santa thing except the whole "you gotta be good if Santa is going to bring you anything".  That to me is the lie.  The whole idea of Santa being kind of omnipotent is kind of creepy to me but the idea of a jolly old elf who brings gifts on Christmas is okay with me.
