Whit any prison system they will search all belongings. I advise you bring what is appropriate from what is on their website or either call the Prison.

God bless you for taking care of the daughter. Hope life straightens out for your daughter and for your family.  I don't have any idea as to the answer to your questions but seems like you could contact the prison to find out.  I have one question though if it isn't to personal.  She's been there since March but has a one month old?  Did she have the baby in prison or did they allow her to go to a regular hospital?

I think you should call them and find out what you can bring before you get in trouble with them.  I heard they really strict about the visitors in prison.  I think a call doesn't.

the prison let her go to hospital and she even got to stay with the baby until she was released handcuffed to the bed but she still got to bond with baby for three days, they had originally told her she wouldnt even get to hold her and she was 6 weeks pregnant when she went in

Indeed it is. I can't imagine doing something to end up in such a place. Much less when I have a baby!

How did your visist go?  Not being able to visit your daughter since March seems like extreme cruelty to me.......no idea why your daughter is there, but seems like March to December is a LONG time to not be allowed to have visitors.

They don't cavity search visitors. They will search the bag and may or may not allow it in.

Really not sure!  I spent 12 hours in custody for my DUI back in 2008.  I could not imagine nearly a year!
