I didn't shop in store at all that day. I don't need the drama. I did do some shopping on Amazon though and had no trouble.

So ent to black friday in prince federick,md on thursday evening it was one of the worst experiences i have ever had not sure i will ever go back to this particular store again ,was very unorganized none of the associates could help you had one actully say i havent a clue as to what to do,had one say we only do what we told even if it sounds ignorant i found myself at checkout line 4 hrs after waiting in line telling everyone the store manager should be sent back where he came from i never am rude like that :o
So sorry you had such a bad experience. I went during the morning hours and had some people traffic in the aisles. But everyone waspolite about being in the way or bumped into. I only shopped for DVDs and then left. I did return Monday and found more DVDs that were not there on Fri. Good for me they were the same reduced price. Maybe next time it won't be so bad.

Sorry to see the whole concept of "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" making its way into Canada.  It is just another marketing ploy to try and get us all to buy things we probably don't really need.  I may not always get the best buys but going at slower times means better service and being able to discuss with someone what my needs are.  Or, I can do some research online and buy online.

I have never wanted to save money bad enough to put myself through black friday at any store any where.  People (shoppers) are crazy and the store associates don't like dealing with it so they aren't very professional or cordial about it I don't believe.  No black friday for me unless I order online sitting in my jammies lol.

If YOU had to deal with the madness of black Friday shoppers you would not be very professional either.  Customers are rude, hateful, and lots of times threaten employees.  My take - I am just doing a job.  I have to have a job and the one I have is the only one I an get at this time.  I be danged if I am going to be threatened by some idiot trying to save a few dollars.  Or be threatened because they don't get a deal because the store runs out or they miss the time or whatever.

IF people are nice to me I will do more to try to help them out.  But most people are not nice.  Most people are condescending, rude jack@sses that think the world revolves around them.  No, I don't like it when employees are total butts to me and if it is bad enough I will complain to management or send a email to corporate but putting myself in their position and thinking about things I deal with I can see why some act like they do.

There are people who are trying and still don't make enough to live on.  And it is not as easy as just go get another job.  There are NO jobs right now.  And the jobs you do get are part time with around 10 hours a week.

Do you live in Canada?  Canada does not celebrate Thanksgiving in November like we do in the US so it seems odd that they would have the big sales on the same days as the US.  I know some countries do not celebrate Christmas like we do in the US so I am wondering if Canada does?

People rush to get the big tv and other random crap like that they don't even need.  They bought a big tv last year and it still works fine but they will go fight for a new big one this year.  People are stupid. I also know people who go in groups and get all they can of this stuff and the huge sale price and then sale it on ebay for more than they paid for it but less than the regular price.  I know a woman a few years ago that bought every video game she could (of whatever it was popular that year) and then sold for a major profit on ebay because people were willing to pay so THEIR kid could have it on Christmas morning and then brag about it on facebook.  And two days after Christmas the video stores had tons of the game.

Black Friday was awful. Nothing really worth buying this year. It has been getting worse and worse every year.

The last time I went to Walmart on Black Friday, I knew I was in for a troubling, stressful experience. I told my husband that I was going to repeat, "My heart is filled with the Holy Spirit, my heart is filled with the Holy Spirit."  over and over as I did my shopping. By the time I walked out of the store, my heart was NOT filled with the Holy Spirit.  And that's why I don't shop at Walmart on Black Friday.

I went out a bit Friday afternoon. It was not that bad, maybe because people had already been shopping for almost 24 hours by the time I went anywhere. I don't even shop at Walmart the rest of the year, there is no way I would go on the busiest day of the year to save a few bucks.
