I am really sorry you have such a challenging operation ahead of you. But as I am a glass half full kinda person, I should share that it is good news that the specialists are willing to operate. For some patients, the specialists feel they are past hope but you clearly are on the top of their list for hopefuls of a full recovery. Also, there has never been a better time to have an operation, the surgeons are so skilled and medicine is so advanced. Also, I want to tell you about my grandma who had brain surgery which was very successful and she lived until the age of 90 ish before she passed on. (Plus she didn't pass on from any brain problems, she just had a nasty fall and never really made a recovery from there). God Bless you!

All surgery would be scary to me.  Good choice to schedule it after the holidays.  You'll have lots of warm, happy experiences to keep in your mind.  A positive attitude will make it go well and keep recovery shorter.  I'm sending you some Reiki energy to help as well.  Enjoy the holidays, relax and build up your energy.  You'll do fine.  :peace:  :angel11:

I will definitely include you in my prayers. I have a close friend who had brain surgery last year and she is doing very well. It is so enlightening to see the posts from the fushioncash members showing their support and reaching out with such encouraging words. I am a true believer that the power of prayer is real and I see some really powerful support on this site. Good luck to you and be strong!

I think all children get scared when they hear things like this and that's normal, because your her mother. Family is a great thing to have through times like these. Good luck with the surgery. Stay positive.

Aggie, best wishes to you and sending prayers your way.  My husband had a tumor removed from the brain about 10 years ago. While it was a scary and painful time for him, he did amazingly well. With all the technology of today, it is truly amazing what Doctors can do, the lord guides them on a daily basis. Good Luck to you. And by the way, the hubby is fine today, he has a steel plate in his head but he is here and living life to the fullest.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. I believe you will be fine. I know you're scared, anyone would be. But, you have the power to stay strong. And you are. Enjoy the holidays first, don't let that interfere with your time with family.

Aggie49, this is such a personal thing you're going through.  I can tell how much strength you have because you're sharing this very personal experience with so many of us, who in reality, are strangers.  Don't worry about your family so much.  This is not something you've purposely put them through.  Nobody wants to get sick and no one wants to see their family member sick.  Sure, they're all going to worry, you included but, TOGETHER you're going to get through it.  Keep your faith in God strong.  When you feel like you can't go on, He'll be right there - carrying you and yours.

This answers the questions I asked on the other thread.  I am sorry you are having to go thru this.  I pray that things go well and your recovery is quick.  Like someone else said, if you could have a family member post and let us know you are okay.  Instead of making us wait a couple of weeks til you get back home 😊. I know you are scared just remember God is with you.

😢. A lot of elderly people seem to never really recover from a fall.
