Peter Pan Live
« on: December 14, 2014, 01:19:29 am »
Anyone watch this?I saw about the last hour.It was alright.I liked the original with Mary Martin better. My sister would watch that video endlessly when she was little!

It was kinda amusing to see Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, but he didn't have the zest for Hook the way Cyril Richards did.The girl who played Peter was alright, maybe a little too earnest.

One of my neighbors saw it and, like you, preferred the original.
I had lunch with another neighbor and he said that his grand daughter had a part in the writing of Peter Pan Live.

I have seen a couple of performances of Peter Pan. Both of the shows I saw based on the original.

Don't like musicals.I did think it amusing that a girl is playing Peter Pan. She probably does a good job. I just don't have the appeal from the commercials.

I didn't watch it. i know it got bad reviews. Wasn't it put on by the same people who did last years live production of The Sound of Music with Carrie Underwood? I think i read that somewhere.

I was tempted to watch it since I like Allison Williams (Peter Pan) on Girls. Ultimately I wasn't too interested. I did watch the trailer for the new Peter Pan movie though. Has anyone else watched it?

It is kinda odd that they always pick a woman to play Peter in these live shows.I think Sandy Duncan played him back in the day, too.

Yeah,Carrie Underwood did Sound of Music for the same production company.I missed that one though.

It's funny, but I actually took a survey last year where they asked which musical would you like to see live next year. And I picked Peter Pan!So they listened to me and actually made the show! ;D

I guess you guys have me to thank.(Or blame,if you hated it!LOL!)
